I’m a homebirth doula, birth photographer, postpartum doula & fellow homebirthing mama from Southern Illinois who’s on the journey of sharing the truth about physiological birth. Birth is sacred and I believe that our creator designed our bodies to do this. I don’t view birth as a medical event. My work is rooted in traditional understandings of physiology. I am a Certified Doula & Certified Birth Photographer who will always put women before the system!

My dive into physiologic birth started when I became pregnant with my son in 2021. I birthed my baby in our home with Midwives and my incredible Doula by my side. The birth was beautiful but rough and it awakened a new passion inside of my soul. And so the path to sovereign birth began! I can relate to what you’re experiencing as you navigate things that come up for you during pregnancy, the birth and postpartum because i’ve been there myself.

I’ve spent the last 4+ years learning through several online courses including Childbirth International Doula Training, The Radical Birthkeeper School, Your Postpartum Pelvis and the Birth Becomes You Photography Course. I’m currently in an in person apprenticeship as well as an online mentorship program learning from wise women who have been walking this path much longer than myself. And of course continuing to learn from sitting at the feet of women i’ve served along the way! I spend some time daily reading and/or listening to podcasts about pregnancy, birth, postpartum and/or herbs.
